Clinical hypnosis

UNLEASH THE POWER OF YOUR UNCONSCIOUS!

A few notes on clinical hypnosis, starting with some misconceptions:

– you’ll lose control.
No matter how deeply hypnotized you become, you can’t be made to do
anything. For instance, if we suggested that you rob a bank and you’re not
a bank robber, you wouldn’t do it. And there certainly would be no
barking like a dog or making chicken noises!

– you’ll be asleep.
Although you’ll be very relaxed, you won’t be asleep. You have an active
part in the session. It’s like losing yourself in a movie: You’re focused on the story, but if someone yelled “FIRE!” you’d hear that and leave the theater.

Hypnosis is not a type of psychotherapy, it’s a tool your therapist can use at the right moment. Hypnosis allows your unconscious help you improve how you manage the difficulties and challenges you face, from anxiety and depression to relationship concerns.
